Abstract
Optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra of two new series of Ho3+ doped fluoroborate glasses have been carried out and their physic al properties studied They showed a bluish green emission under an ult raviolet lamp. From the evaluated spectral intensities the Judd-Ofelt (Omega(lambda)) parameters and the stimulated emission cross sections (sigma(rho)(epsilon)) were determined for the different host glass and shown to change with chemical composition.
