The Schwarz-Christoffel transformation in conjunction with the hodogra
ph method is employed to determine the shapes of bounding streamlines
for a two-dimensional air-jet impacting onto a slotted surface. In ord
er to determine the solution to the problem, the Schwarz-Christoffel i
ntegral is expressed in terms of mathematical functions in numerical f
orm, from which the pivotal points in the half plane onto which the ho
dograph plane is mapped, can be determined completely, enabling the ca
lculation of the velocity potential and in turn the shape of the jet b
oundaries.
