Abstract
Suspension cultured cells of the three ecotypes Landsberg Erecta, C24,
and Wassilewskija of Arabidopsis thaliana were recovered from cryogen
ic storage. The post-thaw viability of cells, as determined by the red
uction of triphenol tetrazolium chloride and cell re-growth, were infl
uenced by pre-growth mannitol treatment. Fertile plants were rapidly r
egenerated from thawed cells.
