Abstract
Microjet technology is used to precisely place lenslets on the tips of multimode optical fibers with cladding diameters of 140 mu m. These 1 .1 times diffraction limited lenslets approximately double the numeric al aperture, or acceptance angle, as well as the coupling efficiency o f the fibers.
