Abstract
Until recently, few orthopedic indications for sonographic imaging hav e been widely accepted. Advances in technology and concerns about imag ing costs are expanding the role of sonography in musculoskeletal cond itions. In this pictorial essay we review normal musculoskeletal sonog raphic anatomy, selected current applications, and potential pitfalls.
