Abstract
The preparation of new pyrazolo[3,4-c][2,1]benzothiazepines substitute d at the nitrogen atoms of the pyrazole moiety is described. It was ca rried out by reaction of the 4,9-dihydro-9-methyl-4,10,10-trioxo-1(2)H -pyrazolo [3,4-c] [2,1]benzothiazepine (1) with several alkylating age nts under bo th classical and phase-transfer catalysis (PTC) condition s. Assignments of the N-alkyl regioisomers obtained were performed by study of their H-1 nmr spectra and NOE experiments.
