Abstract
A series of hitherto unreported 4]triazolo[4,3-a]thieno[3,2-e]pyrimidi n-5(4H)-ones (8a-k) have been synthesized by the condensation of ydraz ino-3-phenylthieno[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4(3H)-ones (7a,b) with various one- carbon donors. Compounds, 8c and 8g, exhibit significant CNS depressan t and analgesic activities, respectively.
