Abstract
Several compounds containing omicron-alkylaminomethylenephenolic group (Mannich group) incorporating heterocycles such as hexahydropyrimidin es and tetrahydroimidazoles have been synthesized. Compound 18 has bee n found to be active against hepatic amoebiasis. Effect of substituent s on the conformations of hexahydropyrimidines is discussed.
