Abstract
Four new 2-phosphaindolizines (2) have been prepared by cyclocondensat ion of 1,2-dialkylpyridinium bromides (1) with phosphorus trichloride in the presence of triethylamine in acetonitrile under nitrogen. The P -31-NMR chemical shift is affected by the nature of substituents at 1- and 3-positions of 2.
