Abstract
The attempted preparation of 4, 17-a-di(2-acetoxyethyl)-4, 17a-diaza-D -homo-5-alpha-androstane dimethiodide (2) and 7-beta[di(2-acetoxyethyl )]amino-5-alpha-androstane dimethiodide (6) by different routes remain s unsuccessful. The intermediate compounds have characterized on the b asis of elemental analysis and spectral data.
