Dl. Shpak, ANGULAR ANISOTROPY OF FRAGMENTS FROM FISSION OF U-236 BY NEUTRONS WITH ENERGY 0.375-7.22 MEV, Soviet journal of nuclear physics, 54(5), 1991, pp. 734-738
The multiangle track-detector technique (fission fragments were detect
ed by means of cylindrical glass detectors) has been used to carry out
detailed measurements of the angular distributions of fission fragmen
ts of U-236 and the energy dependence of the ratio of the cross sectio
ns for fission of U-236 and U-235 by neutrons with energy 0.375-7.22 M
eV. The statistical law W(theta) = 1 + a cos2-theta is inadequate for
description of the angular distributions of the fission fragments in t
he studied energy region, and it is necessary to include higher powers
of the cosine. In the entire range of neutron energies substantial ir
regularities of the angular anisotropy are observed.
