Abstract
Temporal characteristics of the induced fission of the Np isotopes obt ained in the reactions U-238 (d,xnf) and U-235 (d,xnf) for incident de uteron energies 7-17 MeV are studied. The analysis of the spectra, exc itation functions, and cross sections is performed using the evaporati on and exciton models of nuclear reactions. The influence of the pre-e quilibrium processes on the temporal characteristics of these reaction s is studied. It is shown that a correct description of the experiment al data on the duration of induced fission must take into account the pre-equilibrium emission of particles.
