Ya. Troyan et al., INVESTIGATION OF NARROW RESONANCES IN THE DIFFERENTIAL CROSS-SECTION FOR ELASTIC PROTON PROTON-SCATTERING IN THE ENERGY-RANGE 116-199 MEV, Soviet journal of nuclear physics, 54(5), 1991, pp. 792-797
Measurements have been made of the energy dependence of the relative d
ifferential cross section for elastic pp scattering in the interval 11
6-199 MeV at energy steps of 0.4 MeV (step with respect to the effecti
ve mass of the two protons almost-equal-to 0.2 MeV/c2) in order to loo
k for narrow dibaryonic resonances. The mass resolution was GAMMA(res)
almost-equal-to 0.26 MeV/c2. Signals at masses 1936, 1951, 1958, and
1971 MeV/c2 were found. The statistical significances of the putative
resonances are 93, 80, 99.4, and 97%, respectively. The widths of the
observed enhancements are GAMMA(R) almost-equal-to 0.14-0.04 MeV/c2. T
he masses of the presumed resonances are close to the masses observed
in other experiments. A comparison is made with the predictions of som
e theoretical models.
