In the theory of Brueckner and by solving the Faddeev equations, coher
ent effects occurring in pi-NN dynamics in the presence of a resonant
pion-nucleon interaction are considered. It is shown that in inelastic
S-wave pi-d scattering a sharp dependence of the scattering amplitude
on the initial energy and on the momenta of the final particles may a
rise. The irregularities in the energy behavior can have a width which
is an order of magnitude smaller than the width of the pi-N resonance
