GREEN PRODUCT MANUFACTURING

This paper describes tools, systems, and specific programs put in plac e within AT&T to achieve end-to-end environmentally responsible, or gr een, manufacturing. Together, these incorporate design for environment (DFE) criteria in product and process design phases, monitor and cont rol manufacturing processes to minimize waste and use of materials, co nserve water through reuse, and reduce volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions through process and solvent replacement.
