Abstract
Results of an argon e, (3-1)e double-ionization experiment with an inc ident energy of 5.5 keV are presented. The two emitted electrons, with energies of 96 and 17.5 eV, are observed in coincidence, and several angular distributions were measured simultaneously using a dual-positi on multidetection system The observations provide clear indication for a shake-off mechanism being responsible of the double-ionization proc ess under the kinematics considered.
