Abstract
A simple approach for the calculation of photoacoustic piezoelectric r esponse in the case of low modulation frequencies has been proposed. T he analytical expressions have been obtained for the amplitude and pha se of the photoacoustic signal and their experimental verification has been carried out. The new method for the thermal diffusivity determin ation from the phase versus frequency characteristics has been develop ed. (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.
