Abstract
Submersisphaeria aquatica gen, et sp. nov. is described from north Que ensland from wood submerged in freshwater. The taxon has affinities wi th Annulatascus, but differs in having brown bicellular ascospores. Th e species is compared with other taxa with unitunicate asci and brown ascospores.
