THE SYNTHESIS AND DRUG-RELEASE PROPERTY O F POLYORGANOSILOXANES CONTAINING PENDANT LONG ALKYL ESTER AND CHOLESTERYL ESTER GROUPS

The synthesis and phase transition property of polyorganusiloxanes con taining pendant long alkyl ester and cholesteryl ester groups were stu died. Drug release property of the blended rubber film of polyorganosi loxanes with PDMS was also investigated. The results showed that the p ermeation rate of levonorgesterel (LNG) through the blended rubber fil m was accelerated as the transform of crystalline phase to liquid crys talline phase of the title polyorganosiloxanes.
