STUDIES ON THE SYNTHETIC PEPTIDE ANTIGENS OF SCHISTOSOMA-MANSONI

Six antigenic peptides of the 26KDa Glutathione S-transferase of schis tosoma mansoni have been predicted according to its hydrophilicity, fl exibility, accessibility, charge distribution and beta-turn in the sec ondary structure by the determination of its primary structure with th e aid of computer and synthesized by using solid phase method, Two of them showed a good antigenicity by Dot-ELISA method with anti-schistos oma japonicum-immunoglobulin polyclonal antibody, anti-Sj-IgG PcAb and one oi them also showed a good antigenicity with the anti-schistosoma surface membrane monoclonal antibody, A6McAb.
