Gr. Johnston et al., DIAGNOSTIC-IMAGING OF THE FELINE LOWER URINARY-TRACT, The Veterinary clinics of North America. Small animal practice, 26(2), 1996, pp. 401
Survey radiography, double contrast cystography, and antegrade urethro
cystography are valuable imaging tools available to the clinician for
evaluation of cats with lower urinary tract disease. However, to be co
st effective during patient evaluation, diagnostic radiographic proced
ures should be used only when needed. An algorithm is presented that d
escribes when radiographic imaging techniques may be most cost effecti
ve in providing useful information during the clinical workup of cats
with lower urinary tract disease.
