Abstract
The assumptions made in the transient network model proposed by D. De Kee and P.J. Carreau (J. Non-Newtonian Fluid Mech., 6 (1979) 127) have been examined and extended. The model predicts the stress jump phenom enon and the predicted stress jump ratio is consistent with experiment al data.
