The stable monolayer from the preformed amphiphilic liquid crystalline
polymer (PMPE) can be obtained on the air-water interface, the monola
yer can be transferred onto solid substrates in Y-type film. The spect
roscopic characteristics are investigated using UV-Vis and Fourier tra
nsform infrared (FT-IR) spectra. Polarized UV-Vis and FTIR spectra sho
w that the LB film assembly is packed in an ordering way.
