Abstract
An optoelectronic processor in the form of a hybrid microcircuit is de scribed. An analysis is made of the feasibility of developing a new cl ass of optoelectronic processors which are hybrid microcircuits and ca n operate both as self-contained specialised computers and also as fun ctional components of computing systems.
