Abstract
Various information transmission systems, based on two-mode lasers wit h controlled emission frequencies, are proposed. It is suggested that these systems can be implemented by modulation of the intermode spacin g of a two-mode laser. An experimental investigation is reported of fr equency control methods. It is shown that these methods should make it possible to construct information transmission systems with high tran smission rates subject to weak nonlinear distortions of the informatio n-carrying signal.
