The crystallization of feldspar ferrisilicate analogues, KFeSi3O8 and
RbFeSi3Os8 from gels under low-temperature hydrothermal conditions was
investigated by Mossbauer spectroscopy. it was determined that Messba
uer spectroscopy methods are more sensitive to changes in a phase stat
e of iron-bearing systems than quantitative X-ray phase analysis; the
efficiency of Messbauer spectroscopy in the investigations of the crys
tallization of iron-bearing mineral systems depends on the use of the
modem processing and analysis methods of Messbauer data; feldspar crys
tallization in the potassium system is approximately twice as fast as
that in the rubidium system; and the dissolution rate of the initial m
aterial in the mineral-forming solution is a limiting stage of the low
-temperature hydrothermal crystallization of feldspars.
