Pa. Khandokhin et Yi. Khanin, INTERACTION BETWEEN RELAXATION OSCILLATIO NS AND OCCURRENCE OF INSTABILITIES IN A CLASS-B BIDIRECTIONAL LASER WITH A NONRECIPROCAL RING CAVITY, Kvantovaa elektronika, 23(1), 1996, pp. 36-38
A theoretical investigation is made of the behaviour of relaxation osc
illations of a single-frequency solid-state ring laser operating in th
e travelling-wave regime. An analysis is made of the effects of change
s in the linear coupling of counterpropagating waves, in the phase and
amplitude cavity nonreciprocities, and in the detuning of the lasing
frequency from the centre of the gain profile. The ranges of the param
eters where the interaction of relaxation oscillations takes place (fr
equency repulsion and pulling, locking of the damping decrements) are
determined. An exchange interaction between relaxation of oscillations
is described.
