Abstract
We estimate the specific electric resistance rho of transition metals of the third row in the liquid state in the framework of Kubo's linear response theory. The required information on the characteristics of e lectron spectrum of pure metals has been obtained by using the continu ed fraction method. The theoretically determined values of rho describ e qualitatively truly the experimental dependence of electric resistan ce on the ordinal number of 3d-metal. The method is shown to have cert ain advantages over the diffraction model.
