Pervoskite oxides of LaFe1-xNixO3 (x = 0.1 similar to 0.6) were prepar
ed by the solid state reaction method, The XRD, IR and Mossbauer measu
rements show that the samples are all in single phase except for x = 0
.4; their structures transform from orthorhombic to rhomhombic at x =
0.5. The frequency of Fe(Ni)-O stretching vibration shifts to a high f
requency about 20 cm(-1) with a structure transformation, Fe ions are
all in high spin state of +3 valence and Ni ions incorporated in latti
ce are in +3 valence.
