Jh. Hao et Sc. Wang, CALCULATION OF A TERNARY PHASE-DIAGRAM FO R THE NONSOLVENT SOLVENT POLYMER SYSTEM, Gaodeng xuexiao huaxue xuebao, 16(12), 1995, pp. 1831-1836
A new generalized form of the Flory-Huggins equation was suggested, in
which the interaction parameters in the binary mixture should be kept
as the concentration of the binary mixture in the ternary system, The
new equations for the calculation of Binodal and Spinodal curves in t
he ternary system were developed, The effect of a polymer/solvent inte
raction parameter concentration dependence in the new and old forms wa
s discussed, The results showed that the new Flory-Huggins equation is
a more generalized form, The ternary phase diagrams calculated in the
new and old forms were obviously different, The ternary phase diagram
s of CA-acetone-water and CA-dioxane-water approach to the results obt
ained from the measurements.
