An EXAFS multishell analysis of a titanium silicalite with an MFI stru
cture reveals that the double Si-O-Ti bridges formed between [TiO(x)]
species and the [SiO4] framework tetrahedra are partially hydrolysed i
n the presence of water which results in the conversion from an edge-
to a corner-sharing type of bonding between the two structural units.
