YBCO THICK-FILM FOR RF CAVITY

Using electrophoretic deposition it is possible to prepare massive are a thick film which shows good superconducting properties in the microw ave field; it opens perspectives for the application of polycrystallin e YBCO layer in RF cavity. A coaxial resonator with an inner conductor which is coated in YBCO layer by electrophoresis is used to measure t he surface resistance of YBCO at 500 MHz. The recent results are as fo llows: R(300 K)=124 m Ohm, R(77 K)=0.6 m Ohm.
