Abstract
We have prepared two metabolites of medetomidine 1-(2,3-dimethylphenyl )-1-[imidazol-4(5)-yl]ethane} from the known ketone hyl-2-methylbenzoy l)-1-(triphenylmethyl)imidazole; one is a primary alcohol and the othe r the corresponding acid.
