M. Olteanu et Pm. Pavel, ON THE DISSOCIATION MODEL FOR ELECTRICAL-CONDUCTIVITY IN MOLTEN-SALT MIXTURES, Revue Roumaine de Chimie, 40(9), 1995, pp. 927-935
Theoretical premises of the dissociation model for electrical conducti
vity in molten salt mixtures are presented. The basic idea of the mode
l is the incomplete dissociation of the electrolyte components : as th
e dissociation degrees of the constituents depend on mixture compositi
on, the concentration of charge carriers changes and thus it influence
s the evolution of conductivity isotherms as well. A versatile numeric
al method together with its corresponding computing program are given,
they providing an easier and more precise way to-the solutions of the
discussed model. An analysis of validity of tire chosen procedure was
made using our own data for electrical conductivities and molar volum
es : a difference has been noticed between the behaviour of common ani
on and common cation systems, respectively.
