Abstract
The rare compound, psydrin methyl-4-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-3(2H)-fu ranone) and the new ta-D-glucopyranosyl)-3(2-isopropylidenyl)-furanone have been isolated from an acetone extract of the aerial parts of Jun iperus phoenicea. Structural elucidation of the new product was achiev ed mainly by spectroscopic methods.
