MAPROS - A COMPUTER-PROGRAM FOR BASEMENT MAPPING AND FILTERING OF GRAVITY AND MAGNETIC DATA USING A HARTLEY TRANSFORM

MAPROS is a FORTRAN program for computing depths to basement and for l ow-pass, high-pass, or band-pass and directional filtering of two-dime nsional gravity or magnetic data. This program uses the Hartley transf orm rather than the conventional Fourier transform. Two field examples , one to illustrate the low- and high-pass filtering effects in magnet ic data from Umra, Udaipur District, Rajasthan, India, and the other t o estimate the basement depths from Bouguer gravity anomaly map of nor thwestern Greece, are presented.
