S. Rai et al., POSSIBLE EFFECT OF MAGNETICALLY INDUCED WATER STRUCTURES ON PHOTOSYNTHETIC ELECTRON-TRANSPORT CHAINS OF A GREEN-ALGA CHLORELLA-VULGARIS, Electro- and magnetobiology, 15(1), 1996, pp. 49-55
The effect of different water structures induced by exposure to the tw
o separate pole faces of a 0.297 +/- 0.003 T magnet was observed for t
he activities of photosystems of Chlorella vulgaris. The results show
that time-dependent variable water structures produced by two poles ha
ve different effects on the activities of the photosystems. One possib
le mechanism may be due to the selective partitioning of ions among an
d within the extra- and intracellular aqueous solutions, and failure o
f the water-oxidizing clock to strip electrons from the magnetically r
estructured water.
