Abstract
A total of 149 migratory flocks of sheep and goats in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir were investigated for Chlamydia psittaci relate d diseases. Samples were collected and processed as per standard proce dures. The isolates were confirmed as per Storz (1971). In sheep the o rganism could be isolated only from the cases of reproductive problem whereas, in goats, isolations were made from a variety of disease synd romes like abortions, metritis, enteritis and pneumonia. Chlamydiosis was found to be higher in goats than in sheep.
