Abstract
The photolysis of low molecular weight ketones (4-tridecanone, 3- and 5-dodecanone) at wavelengths longer than 300 mn and in hydrocarbon sol vents has been investigated by FTIR, GC/MS and GC/FTTR. The quantum yi eld and the rate of decomposition were compared with those of a low mo lecular weight hydroperoxide (3-hydroperoxyhexane).
