INTRODUCTION OF TRANSPORT PHENOMENA INTO THE THERMO-KINETIC CODE KINDIS - THE CODE KIRMAT

Based on the thermo-kinetic code KINDIS a reactive transport code has been developed. It keeps all the capacities of the geochemical code. T he transport governing equations are solved using finite difference ap proximation in an explicit scheme using alternatively the central and backward difference formulations. The numerical dispersion is correcte d and the stability criteria are respected. The reaction+transport mas s balance equations are solved with a one-step algorithm. A numerical validation of the reactive transport code has been successfully achiev ed by comparison to an analytical solution.
