Abstract
There is now substantial evidence that heritable biological factors pl ay a role in the genesis of repetitive antisocial behavior. The differ ing conceptual frameworks of behavioral genetics and the law are descr ibed, and the implications that current research in behavioral genetic s may have for assigning responsibility for unlawful behavior are disc ussed.
