C. Bellabarba et al., OPTICAL-ABSORPTION SPECTRUM NEAR THE EXCITON BAND-EDGE IN CUGAS2 AT 5K, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 53(12), 1996, pp. 7792-7796
The absorption spectrum of CuGaS2 near the fundamental absorption edge
measured at 5 K has been analyzed taking into account both the discre
te and continuum excitons. It has been shown that a transition from an
acceptor level, originated by copper vacancies, to the conduction ban
d occurs in this spectral region. It has been shown that the experimen
tal slope of the optical-absorption curves, the strength of excitons,
and the binding energies of excitons and accepters are well accounted
for by existing theoretical models.
