Abstract
Alliin has been reported to have antioxidative activity. We tried to r eexamine the antioxidative activity of alliin with a purified alliin p reparation, and found that it has no antioxidative activity in a linol eic acid oxidation system. The reducing activity of alliin tested by t he ECD method was also weak in showing antioxidative activity.
