Abstract
This paper introduces the use of wave digital filters in power system simulation, emphasizing hybrid realtime parity simulators. Implementat ion results show that the wave digital filters methodology is an adequ ate basic building block for power system transients simulation tools. An updated bibliography on real-time simulation is also presented.
