Abstract
The phase diagram and paramagnetic susceptibility of the spin 3/2 Blum e-Capel model are investigated within the statistical accuracy of the Bethe-Peierls approximation (or the correlated effective field treatme nt). In particular, the inverse paramagnetic susceptibility may show a n outstanding feature in the special region of a negative crystal-fiel d constant.
