Abstract
The present paper reports the isolation of mixed ligand complexes of t he type MAL, where M = Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), A = 2,2'-bipyridylamine and L = aromatic phenols such as catechol (catecholato -2), pyrogallo l (pyrogallolato -3), 2,3-dihydroxynaphthalene (2,3-dihydroxynaphthala to-2) or protocatechuic acid (protocatechuato-3). The antimicrobial ac tivity of 2,2'-bipyridylamine and its Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) comple xes is described.
