Abstract
Enantiomeric (R)- and (S)-2-aminopropanesulfonic acids, 4a and 4b, wer e prepared in good yields and high enantiomeric purities (>99% ee) fro m (S)-5a and (R)-1-amino-2-propanol 5b respectively, using a four step synthesis. The absolute configuration of(S)-enantiomer 4b was establi shed by X-ray analysis. (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
