Ag. Kochur et Vl. Sukhorukov, LOW-ENERGY AUGER-SPECTRA OF AR AND KR EMITTED IN CASCADE DECAYS AFTERINNER-SHELL IONIZATION, Journal of electron spectroscopy and related phenomena, 76, 1995, pp. 325-328
L(23)MM spectra of argon and Auger spectra of krypton in the energy ra
nge of 0 to 180 eV emitted during cascade decays of inner-shell vacanc
ies are calculated by straightforward construction of de-excitation tr
ees. All possible decay pathways through diagram Auger, Coster-Kronig,
and radiative transition are considered, as well as the shake-off pro
cesses both upon creation of an initial vacancy and during the cascade
development. Good agreement with available experimental Ar L(23)MM sp
ectra at various excitation energies is obtained. Strong dependence of
low-energy Auger spectrum of krypton on the mode of excitation is pre
dicted.
