Abstract
Photoionization cross sections of the metastable P-3(0) and P-3(2) sta tes of the 3p(5)4s configuration of the Ar atom and 4p(5)5s configurat ion of the Kr atom are calculated in one electron approximation with t aking into account the many-electron correlations. It is shown, that m any-electron correlations change significantly the calculated one-elec tron cross sections.
