Abstract
X-ray emission and photoelectron spectra of magnetostrictive alloys Dy 1-xTbxFe2 (x = 0.0, 0.5, 1.0), and their components have been obtained and investigated. The valence band structure, the atomic charge state s and their dependence on composition have been studied. The shape and energy location changes of the emission spectra of dysprosium were ob served when the samples had been placed into the constant magnetic fie ld.
